Mr. Brian Malkinson - MLA for Calgary-Currie

Dear God, we are grateful for MLA Mr. Brian Malkinson as he serves the people of Calgary-Currie.  We are grateful as well for the insight he has gained through his travels and listening and interacting with key people and advisors.  Continue to give him wisdom as he seeks to meet the needs of families as well as individuals in the business sector.  May he experience Your peace and calm in all the busyness of his day.  Amen. 

Brian Malkinson was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as the Member for the constituency of Calgary-Currie on May 5, 2015.

He currently serves as deputy chair of the Select Special Ombudsman and Public Interest Commissioner Search Committee and the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices. He also serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship.

Previously Mr. Malkinson served as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund.

Mr. Malkinson is originally from British Columbia. He obtained a degree in science from Simon Fraser University, where he was, for a time, the president of the Interactive Arts and Technology Student Union.

He is employed in the heavy-equipment industry as a salesman at a heavy-duty engine supplier since making a career change from working as a designer/analyst for Internet start-ups.

Mr. Malkinson currently resides in Calgary, where he enjoys car restoration, music, art and recreational sports.

Mr. Don MacIntyre - MLA for Innisfail-Sylvan Lake

We pray for Mr. Don MacIntyre MLA for Innisfail-Sylvan Lake .  Grant him expertise and wisdom as he serves Alberta and bless him for his commitment and service in his community.  Give him direction on the issues he faces and for decisions that need to be made today.  Give him times of rest, relaxation and rejuvenation with his family and friends.  Amen.

Don MacIntyre was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Innisfail-Sylvan Lake, on May 5, 2015.

Mr. MacIntyre is a member of the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship.

Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, he spent five years as a part-time instructor/curriculum developer for the alternative energy program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), and between 2010 and 2012 he worked as the chief technical officer for a private overseas geothermal company. As well, he has over a decade of experience in the field of marketing.

He also has extensive committee experience to his credit, including three years as a technical subcommittee member for the Canadian Standards Association and four years for the Alberta Geothermal Energy Association, of which he is a cofounder. During his time with the Alberta Geothermal Energy Association he served in the roles of vice-chair and chair.

Mr. MacIntyre holds accreditation as a certified geo-exchange system designer from the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, and the Association of Energy Engineers.

Originally from North Battleford, Saskatchewan, he, along with his wife, Megan, now calls Sylvan Lake home.

Ms. Robyn Luff - MLA for Calgary-East

Father, we thank You for MLA Ms. Robyn Luff and her compassionate heart for those she serves in the community of Calgary-East.  Renew her strength and vision for the work You have called her to do and as she goes about the day, may she sense that You walk with her.  We pray for a strong heart to run the race before her.  Watch over and protect her.  Amen. 

Robyn Luff was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Calgary-East on May 5, 2015.

Ms. Luff serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, the Standing Committee on Families and Communities and the Special Standing Committee on Members' Services.

Prior to her election Ms. Luff was a teacher with the Calgary board of education.

Ms. Luff earned a bachelor of science with a major in biology from the University of Victoria and a bachelor of education (master of teaching) from the University of Calgary. She also took part in Next Up, a progressive leadership program for university alumni from all across Canada.

Ms. Luff was an active member of the Alberta Teachers' Association and has also volunteered as an educator for a number of nature conservation organizations in Calgary.

Mr. Rod Loyola - MLA for Edmonton-Ellerslie

Lord, guide and bless MLA Rod Loyola and give him an awareness of the needs and issues facing our province. Empower him with wisdom in every decision he makes in meetings with other committee members as he serves our Province and the constituency of Edmonton-Ellerslie. Bless him with fresh strength, vitality and joy.  Amen. 

Rod Loyola was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as the Member for the constituency of Edmonton-Ellerslie on May 5, 2015.

Loyola currently serves as chair of the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship and as a member of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing. He previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee.

Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, Loyola had been heavily involved with the University of Alberta, first having completed a bachelor of arts in 1999, later becoming employed as an academic program coordinator and student adviser for University of Alberta International. He was then elected President of the Non-Academic Staff Association, the union that represents support staff that work at the University of Alberta.

Loyola's volunteer and community involvement includes serving in various roles for the Knottwood Community League, as well as on the Post-Secondary Education Task Force for Public Interest Alberta, and on the board of Friends of Medicare.

Loyola has lived in Edmonton for over 35 years and currently resides in Millwoods with wife, Johanna, and their children, Daniel and Alonso.

Mr. Todd Loewen - MLA for Grande Prairie-Smoky

Lord, we pray for MLA Mr. Todd Loewen and we pray that You will guide and direct every decision he makes as he serves in our province in the region of Grande-Prairie-Smoky.  Empower him with great wisdom and compassion in his role.  Lord, help him to sense Your love and care for him.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Loewen owned a small outfitting business and an operational farm.

Born and raised in rural Alberta, Mr. Loewen grew up in a farming family. He graduated from Hillside junior senior high school with an advanced high school diploma, and after five years in the workforce he went on to become self-employed as an entrepreneur and farmer.

Mr. Loewen and his wife, Teena, have five children: Travis, Ty, Taylor Tianna and Tenea. They reside in the constituency of Grande Prairie-Smoky, where Mr. Loewen has been an active volunteer for the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie, the Chamber of Commerce, their local church, a number of business organizations and many other community activities.

Mrs. Jessica Littlewood - MLA for Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville

We pray that You will give her discernment, strength and wisdom to be the voice of the people in her constituency.  Grant her favor with the many people she represents and give her a clear vision for how to make a positive difference for those who genuinely need her help.  May she walk each day in a place of Your blessing.  May Your wisdom guide her so that she may accomplish even more for our province.  Grant her safety in her travels.  Amen. 

Jessica Littlewood was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville on May 5, 2015.

She currently serves as a member of the standing committees on Public Accounts and Legislative Offices and the Select Special Ombudsman and Public Interest Commissioner Search Committee.

Previously she served as chair of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing and the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee. She also served as a member of the Standing Committee on Private Bills and the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.

Prior to her election, Mrs. Littlewood was employed as an executive assistant with the accounting firm Ernst and Young. She previously worked at Goodwill Industries of Alberta as a supervisor, then as assistant manager, while also working as a nursing attendant at the Good Samaritan Society.

Mrs. Littlewood has been a volunteer with a number of charitable organizations in the community, including Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Honourable Danielle Larivee - MLA for Lesser Slave Lake

Father, we lift up Hon. Ms. Danielle Larivee to You as we ask that You would be with her and guide her as he represents the needs of children across Alberta.  We recognize the work she has done in the past and are thankful for the tireless work that she has been doing with colleagues to see that Alberta becomes strong and progressive.  Grant her wisdom and insight into the issues she faces each day, Amen.

Minister of Children’s Services

Danielle Larivee was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as the Member for the constituency of Lesser Slave Lake on May 5, 2015. She was sworn in as Minister of Children’s Services on January 19, 2017. Prior to that she had served, since October 2015, as Minister of Municipal Affairs.

She previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing and as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future.

Before serving with the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Ms. Larivee worked for over 17 years as a registered nurse with Alberta Health Services. During this time she also spent two years working in home care for the Driftpile First Nation and two years as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) instructor with Northern Lakes College.

An active member of her community, she served as treasurer for her local chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) from 2013 to 2015, as chair of the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Wellness Advisory Committee from 2014 to 2015 and as president of local 315 of the United Nurses of Alberta from 2011 to 2015.

Ms. Larivee holds a bachelor of science in midwifery from the Midwives College of Utah and a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Alberta. She also is an alumnus of the TUXIS Parliament of Alberta.

Ms. Larivee, together with her three children, resides in Slave Lake, a place that she has called home for over 35 years, and community abundant with rivers and lakes that she enjoys kayaking whenever she has the opportunity.
