Dear Jesus, today we lift up
Laila Goodridge before Your throne of grace as she serves representing Fort
McMurray-Conklin in our legislature. Lord help and equip Laila to adapt
to her new position after being recently elected to our legislature. Give
her great wisdom and understanding as she serves her constituents and our
province. Lord, protect and keep her in Your loving care. In Your
precious name. Amen.
Laila Goodridge was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in the Fort McMurray-Conklin by-election, which was held July 12, 2018. Prior to her election, Ms. Goodridge worked for Members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. She has also previously served the Minister of the Environment in Ottawa and almost five years working in the oil sands in Fort McMurray. She is fluent in French and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean. Ms. Goodridge was born and raised in Fort McMurray, the community she represents today. She enjoys baking, cooking, gardening and reading.
