God in Heaven. We are thankful that You
raise kings up and you lower them down according to your purposes. You have
raised Brian into the role of MLA for his area because of YOUR purposes for him
and his riding. So we pray, Lord, let Your Kingdom come into and through his
life. Use him to break chains of poverty and hardship and to lift off
everything that oppress the people he serves and represents. Help him to shine and excel in his role
today.

Brian Malkinson was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as the Member for the constituency of Calgary-Currie on May 5, 2015.
He currently serves as deputy chair of the Select Special Ombudsman and Public Interest Commissioner Search Committee and the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices. He also serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship.
Previously Mr. Malkinson served as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund.
Mr. Malkinson is originally from British Columbia. He obtained a degree in science from Simon Fraser University, where he was, for a time, the president of the Interactive Arts and Technology Student Union.
He is employed in the heavy-equipment industry as a salesman at a heavy-duty engine supplier since making a career change from working as a designer/analyst for Internet start-ups.
Mr. Malkinson currently resides in Calgary, where he enjoys car restoration, music, art and recreational sports.
