Hon Shannon Phillips, Lethbridge-West


Father, we bring the Hon Shannon Phillips before you and we ask that you would give her wisdom as she fulfills her duties as Minister of Environment and Parks, Minister Responsible for the Climate Change, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women. We ask you Father to give her the strategies that she needs while she is serving in the Legislature. We ask that you would bless the Hon Shannon Phillips, her two sons, all Albertans and all of Alberta in Jesus name Amen.

Shannon Phillips was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Lethbridge-West, on May 5, 2015.
On May 24, 2015, Ms. Phillips was sworn in to cabinet as Minister of Environment and Parks and as Minister Responsible for the Status of Women. On February 2, 2016, Ms. Phillips was named the Minister Responsible for the Climate Change Office.
Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, she worked with the Alberta Federation of Labour as a policy analyst for five years.
She also spent five years as a member of the board of directors for the Womanspace Resource Centre, a nonprofit organization that provides resources, referrals and education to the community and to individual women.
In 1999 she received a bachelor of arts with honours in political science and in 2002 she completed her master of arts, both at the University of Alberta.
Together with her two sons Ms. Phillips resides in Lethbridge, Alberta

MLA Brandy Payne, Calgary-Acadia


We pray for Brandy Payne today God. Thank you for the managerial and administrative skills she has, to effectively serve. May she be able to balance work and home life as she raises her children and spends time with her husband. Bless this family God we ask, Amen.


Brandy Payne was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Calgary-Acadia on May 5, 2015. Ms. Payne served as Associate Minister of Health from February 2, 2016, to June 17, 2018.
She has also served as deputy chair of the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee and as a member of the Standing Committees on Public Accounts and Families and Communities.
Ms. Payne holds a journalism degree from Carleton University and graduated with high honours. She has also attended Mount Royal College, taking numerous training courses in project management.
Prior to her election, Ms. Payne worked in administrative and management capacities for over 15 years, including as owner and operator of her own yoga business since 2010.
She and her husband, Scott, are raising two daughters, Zoe and Cassidy.

MLA Prasad Panda, Calgary-Foothills


We lift up MLA Prasad Panda to you Father and we ask that you will give him the wisdom and strategies to fulfill his duties on the following committees: Standing Committee on Public Accounts, serves as Opposition critic to the Ministry of Energy. We thank you that he is an outstanding representative in his community as an active member. We ask Lord that you would bless MLA Prasad Panda, his family, all Albertans and all of Alberta in Jesus name Amen.

Prasad Panda was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in the Calgary-Foothills by-election, which was held on September 3, 2015.

He is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and has previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future. Mr. Panda also serves as opposition critic to the Ministry of Energy. He previously served as critic to the Economic Development portfolio.
A professional engineer by trade, he previously worked in the energy sector for over 25 years, during which time he held management positions with numerous private global companies.
Mr. Panda holds a bachelor of technology in mechanical engineering from VRS College of Engineering and Technology.
He is an active member of his community, and his volunteer experience includes serving as president of the Telugu Association of Calgary and as the first vice-president of the India-Canada Association of Calgary.
Born in India, he has called Calgary home for over a decade. He and his family live in the constituency of Calgary-Foothills.
