MLA Hon Brandy Payne, Calgary-Acadia

Lord we thank you for the Honourable Brandy Payne, that you placed her in the right position as Associate Minister of Health. May you give her wisdom as she makes the decisions regarding the health care for all Albertans. Give her strategies on how to fulfill her duties.  Bless her, her husband Scott, their two daughters and all Albertans, in Jesus name Amen.
 
Brandy Payne was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Calgary-Acadia on May 5, 2015. On February 2, 2016, Ms. Payne was appointed Associate Minister of Health.  She previously served as deputy chair of the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee. She is also a past member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.

Ms. Payne holds a journalism degree from Carleton University and graduated with high honours. She has also attended Mount Royal College, taking numerous training courses in project management.

Prior to her election, Ms. Payne worked in administrative and management capacities for over 15 years, including as owner and operator of her own yoga business since 2010.
She and her husband, Scott, are raising two young daughters, Zoe and Cassidy.

MLA Prasad Panda, Calgary-Foothills

Lord thank you for Prasad Panda.   Would you give him favour with his constituents as he serves as the MLA for Calgary Foothills.  Guide his steps Lord and give him understanding on how to rule and govern Alberta.  May he know your protection, your wisdom, and your clarity in his day to day affairs, with party leaders, and his family.  May he have a clear understanding of the issues facing our province at this time and may he govern with integrity.  May he serve humbly and give him eyes to see and ears to hear about the issues that need to be addressed at this time in Alberta.  Use everything from his background as an engineer to influence government at this time. 

Prasad Panda was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in the Calgary-Foothills by-election, which was held on September 3, 2015.
He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts. Previously Mr. Panda served as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta's Economic Future.

A professional engineer by trade, he previously worked in the energy sector for over 25 years, during which time he held management positions with numerous private global companies.

Mr. Panda holds a bachelor of technology in mechanical engineering from VRS College of Engineering and Technology.  He is an active member of his community, and his volunteer experience includes serving as president of the Telugu Association of Calgary and as the first vice-president of the India-Canada Association of Calgary.

Born in India, he has called Calgary home for over a decade. He and his family live in the constituency of Calgary-Foothills.

MLA Ronald Orr, Lacombe-Ponoka



Father we ask that you would move in a might way within Ron Orr and give him the structure in prayer of how to pray for his fellow members. May he have an encounter with you that would change his prayer life where the Holy Spirit has taken over in everything that comes out of his mouth and has been spoken into the atmosphere for the words have come from the throne of God. Bless him, his family and all Albertans in Jesus name, Amen.


Ronald Orr was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Lacombe-Ponoka on May 5, 2015. He currently serves as a member of the Special Standing Committee on Members' Services. Mr. Orr previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.

Mr. Orr has a master’s degree in theology and is an ordained minister. He also holds a journeyman carpenter’s ticket and a registered housing professional certificate and has previously owned a general contracting business.

His community involvement includes board positions with a number of charitable organizations, including the Gull Lake Centre and Calgary’s Mustard Seed Society. He also served as a public information officer for the municipal emergency management team for the village of Clive, Alberta.

Mr. Orr was born in Calgary and has lived in Lacombe-Ponoka for 13 years. He and his wife, Donna Marie, have three children.
