MLA Craig Coolahan, Calgary-Klein

Thank you Lord for Craig’s gifts and abilities as a writer, and also as one who is able to speak into matters of economics and finances. Thanks for his heart for the future. We pray You’d use him to help create a wonderful future for the next generation of Albertans. As a leader, help him to look ahead, recognize and identify the issues that will face our economic future. We pray You’d bless and strengthen his marriage. Help him to be an even greater Father and Husband than MLA, to relentlessly love his wife and children, serving them as his highest priority.

Craig Coolahan was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Calgary-Klein on May 5, 2015.  He currently serves as chair of the Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund and as a member of the standing committees on Alberta’s Economic Future and Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing. He previously served as chair of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future.

Prior to his election Mr. Coolahan was employed as a business representative with the United Utility Workers’ Association, where he managed the administration of several contracts and represented hundreds of workers in the electricity transmission industry.

Mr. Coolahan holds degrees in English and in journalism and worked in various writing and editing capacities for nearly 15 years, including six as a technical writer for a Calgary-based utility company.  He and his wife, Sarah, have two children, Mehna and Kieran.
