Danielle Larivee was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as the Member for the constituency of Lesser Slave Lake on May 5, 2015. She holds two portfolios: Children’s Services and Status of Women. She also serves as Deputy Government House Leader. Ms. Larivee previously served as Minister of Municipal Affairs and as co-chair of Alberta’s Mental Health Review Committee. Prior to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, she served for over 17 years as a registered nurse, including work in home care for the Driftpile First Nation and as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) instructor with Northern Lakes College. An active member of her community, she served as chair of the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Wellness Advisory Committee from 2014 to 2015 and president of local 315 of the United Nurses of Alberta from 2011 to 2015. Ms. Larivee holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Alberta and a bachelor of midwifery from the Midwives College of Utah. Together with her three children she resides in Slave Lake, her home for over 35 years.

Hon Danielle Larivee, Lesser Slave Lake
Father we bring
before you today Danielle Larivee our Minister of Children's Services and the
Status of Women and the Deputy Government House Leader. Give her wisdom
and guidance as she oversees these two important portfolios in our
government. We thank you for her healthcare experience that she has had
to better suit her for the positions she serves in. Bless her and protect
her as she represents the constituency of Lessor Slave Lake. In Jesus'
