Ms. Brandy Payne - MLA for Calgary-Acadia

Father, we are thankful for MLA Brandy Payne today and for her willingness to serve the people in Calgary-Acadia.  We pray she would sense Your love and guidance as she goes about her Legislative work and in her constituency.  Continue to give her vision, direction and the steps necessary to move our province forward in the direction You desire.  Protect her family and may You provide time for them to spend quality time together.

Brandy Payne was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Calgary-Acadia on May 5, 2015.

She currently serves as deputy chair of the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee. She is also a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.

Ms. Payne holds a journalism degree from Carleton University and graduated with high honours. She has also attended Mount Royal College, taking numerous training courses in project management.

Prior to her election, Ms. Payne worked in administrative and management capacities for over 15 years, including as owner and operator of her own yoga business since 2010.


She and her husband, Scott, are raising a young daughter, Zoe.
