Father in Heaven, we thank you for Mr.
Blake Pederson and his faithfulness and service to the constituents of Medicine
– Hat. We ask that you would guide his steps and the plans he makes for each
day. Bless him and help him to know that what he does for our province is
appreciated and needed. Bless him with health and renewed strength. In your

Blake Pedersen was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for
Medicine Hat in 2012, and is the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on
Families and Communities. He also serves as the Official Opposition Critic for
Culture, Innovation, and Advanced Education, and sits on the Standing Committee
on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing.
Blake was born and raised in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on the family farm.
Following graduation from Gull Lake High School, Blake spent some time in
Vancouver as a drummer with a country rock band, and later returned to Gull
Lake and entered the work force with a local oilfield services supply company.
Blake participated in a 10-month Agricultural Exchange Program to
Australia with the International Agricultural Exchange Association, and upon
his return to Canada returned to the oilfield services supply industry. Since
1999, Blake has been the co-owner of a successful oilfield services supply
company based in Redcliff.
